Cold Weather in a Warming World


There is an assumption that "global warming" means that every year will be warmer than the year before and eventually freezing temperatures will cease to exist.  However, cold weather is, "the phenomenon we climate scientists refer to as 'winter,'" says Ben Santer, and scientists do not expect it to go away.
