Ann Edminster

Author, Energy Free: Homes for a Small Planet

Ann Edminster believes that a zero net energy home doesn't have to cost more than a regular home. As the author of Energy Free, Edminster has been completely immersed in teaching, advocating, and researching zero net energy residential construction since the book was published. Her expertise is derived from her varied experience, from being Chair of the Net Zero Energy Home Coalition in 2013 to being a principal author of the LEED for Homes Rating System.

Edminster has been a curriculum developer, advisor, and instructor for California Utlities on zero net energy homes and integrated project delivery. She is a three time award winner of the Sustainable San Mateo County Green Building Awards.
