Blair Carlyle is a writer, conservationist, creator, and musician. He created the character of Uncle Pappy to communicate the philosophical ideas that have helped him the most throughout his life, which largely center around nature and our connection to the environment. Through the voice of Uncle Pappy, Blair has been able to inspire environmental movements on social media as well as work with countless conservation organizations to protect the world around us. By mixing environmentalism with Stoicism, Buddhism, mindfulness, and lessons from literature and his own life, Blair has constructed his own type of ‘Lily Pad Logic’ philosophy that informs and shapes the world around him, and with Pappy he is able to share the lessons to people from every walk of life. Blair Carlyle is also in his 3rd year at Stetson Law School with a focus on environmental law.
