Jared Cohen finds it extraordinary that groundbreaking technology is resonating in parts of the world that don't even have Internet yet. As Director of Google Ideas, Cohen is researching challenges faced by new Internet users in order to find ways that connected technologies can offer solutions to people caught in those circumstances. Google Ideas is pursuing that goal by bringing people with a diverse range of expertise and experience together, both online and offline, to accelerate project development.

Cohen is the co-author of The New Digital Age: Reshaping the Future of People, Nations and Business. He is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.
