We have this concept, I think it’s pretty American... of what I call aspirational trips: you buy a car for what you think is going to be the farthest you’re ever going to drive it. I think we need to change that model.
As the Legislative Director at Plug-In America, Jay Friedland is working to accelerate the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles powered by clean, affordable, domestic electricity to reduce our nation's dependence on petroleum and improve the local and global environment. Friedland draws upon his decades of experience, having become an activist back in the 1970s. A self-described serial entrepreneur, Friedland has built successful companies and developed key industry alliances between companies both large and small.
Friedland is president of the Central Coast Electric Auto Association.
