Jim Wunderman

CEO, Bay Area Council

Jim Wunderman believes that water security, reliability and pristine quality are the things that make a region whole. As President and CEO of the Bay Area Council, Wunderman has honed the CEO-led public policy organization's regionalist approach to advocacy in the key areas that impact the Bay Area's economy and competitiveness. He has also played an instrumental role in securing funding for major transportation projects, supporting education improvement at all levels, with a particular focus on the use of data systems to inform decision making, as well as achieving consensus-based solutions to California’s water challenges.

Wunderman is a Visiting Professor at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management, teaching a course in Executive Leadership. He is a graduate of San Francisco State University, majoring in political science.
