Olivia Nohealani Guarna is the Climate Justice Fellow at the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia Law School. Her work focuses on environmental justice and equity considerations in climate change law and policy, as well as a range of other climate law issues.
Guarna holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law. At NYU, she was the editor-in-chief of the NYU Environmental Law Journal and a research assistant to the NYU-Yale American Indian Sovereignty Project. She has a background in a variety of environmental law areas, including farmworker issues from her time at the Vermont Law School’s Center for Agriculture and Food Systems and toxic chemical regulation from her work with Earthjustice’s Toxic Exposure and Health Program.
Guarna was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and received her BA in Engineering Studies and Studio Art from Lafayette College in 2019.
