We have fought since before World War II the question of whether the human use of water is always more important than anything else. At least in California, the answer is no, it’s not.
As Vice-Chair of the Delta Stewardship Council, Phil Isenberg works to provide a more reliable water supply for California by protecting, restoring, and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. He brings to the role decades of legislative experience, from serving as a Sacramento City Council Member and Mayor of Sacramento to being a member of the California State Assembly. His subject areas of focus as an elected official included land use planning, water and resource issues, state budget matters, and redevelopment reform.
Isenberg holds a J.D. from the UC Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law and a B.A. in Social Science and Government from CSU Sacramento. He formerly served as chair of the California Marine Life Protection Act Blue Ribbon Task Force.
