Roland Hwang

Director of Transportation Programs, Natural Resources Defense Council

As the Director of Transportation Programs for the Natural Resources Defense Council, Roland Hwang works at state and national levels on transportation energy and global warming issues. In this position he employs his expertise in vehicle fuel efficiency technologies, advanced vehicle technologies, and alternative fuels. Previously, Hwang was the director of the transportation program for the Union of Concerned Scientists in their Berkeley office. 

Hwang is a mechanical engineer by training and holds masters degrees in both mechanical engineering and public policy from the University of California.
