With more than 25 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Chef Sandy Sauter has built her career at the intersection of culinary excellence and education. She has held leadership roles at notable establishments including Executive Chef of Public Programs at the Culinary Institute of America in California (CIA); Executive Chef at Dean & DeLuca; Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro; and Copia: The American Center for Wine, Food, and the Arts. Dedicated to her community, she also served five years on the board of directors for the Napa Farmers Market and continues to participate on its committees. Today, as co-owner of PLAYTE Kitchen, she brings her deep expertise and approachable teaching style to empower home chefs through hands-on cooking experiences. She is also affectionately known at PLAYTE Kitchen as the resident “Pasta Queen.”
