Roxanne Brown

Vice President at Large, United Steelworkers

Roxanne Brown currently serves as the United Steelworkers' International Vice President at Large, overseeing the union’s public policy and legislative agenda as well as its political work.

Brown has extensive experience advocating on behalf of workers in manufacturing, defense, energy and other industries, spending more than two decades advancing policies on behalf of USW members, testifying before the International Trade Commission, on Capitol Hill and before state legislatures. She also represents the USW with global policymakers, including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

She was a founding steering committee member of the BlueGreen Alliance and is a member of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists. She serves as a vice president on the AFL-CIO Executive Council as well as sitting on the boards of the Center for Community Change, League of Conservation Voters and the National Endowment for Democracy.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Brown was raised in White Plains, NY. She currently lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and daughter.
